My first Amigurumi!

I've just finished my first Amigurumi! This little monkey was crocheted using a pattern from roxycraft.com. I used some second hand 4ply brown sock wool from a charity shop (20p!). This was so quick to make - it only took my a few hours. I changed the pattern a little- gave him a longer tail, made his arms a bit bigger and added some felt to his feet. I think amis are going to be a new addiction :)

Funky crochet socks!

After finding knitting socks very frustrating I decided to try Milobo's crochet socks pattern
and this is the result!

I used purple stripy Regia surf sock yarn - quite pleased with the results - I can't believe how easy it is to crochet in the roundm compared to knitting! Only think i found was that as I have wide feet and narrow heels the cuff is a bit loose. I had to decrease a lot more than the pattern calls for and they were still a bit loose. I think that ne4xt time I crochet socks I will make them smaller so that they are more clingy. However, these socks will be great for the winter when I can wear them as slipper socks!

Knitit Bolero

Finally finished a little pink bolero as a birthday present for my soon to be three year old niece. This pattern was by Peter Pan and used the new Wendy Knitit yarn for the frills. The pattern was quite easy to follow and seeing the frills appear was fun! Unfortunately my sewing skills aren't brilliant, but hopefully they wont notice the wonky stitching around the arm sockets!

Still working on the green crochet bolero from Happy Hooker for myself. though not too sure that it will suit me!

Very hot weather at the moment in the UK so beena bit lazy with my projects. Hoping to start a hippy granny sqaure blanket next to take to glastonbury next year :) Also fancy making a Happy Hooker fat bottom bag to take to a wedding in October. So much to do, so little time!....

FO_ Under the Hoodie

I finally finished my Under the Hoodie from Stitch N Bitch!

Im a little disapppointed with the fit as it seems a bit bulky, but its a learning process!

I'm also posting some pictures of the red and pink raglan jumper I knitted last month :)
